Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Students joined the cardiothoracic surgery team at UNC, gaining exposure to adult cardiac and thoracic operations and contributing to active clinical and outcomes research. The experience pairs operating-room observation with hands-on scholarly work alongside faculty and residents.
Little Rock, Arkansas
Teams worked with Dr. Taufiek Rajab's Congenital Cardiac Lab at Arkansas Children's Hospital, contributing to research in congenital cardiac surgery and partial heart transplantation. The experience offers a rare window into one of the most innovative areas of congenital heart surgery.
